Book Reviews

Dear Nthabiseng Firstly I want to thank you for allowing God to employ you in unpacking such an important topic of human life-Growth. Living a life which does not translate to growth is such a frustrating point in life that results in a number of challenges in life general. Book in summary From the title-Intentional Growth you made it clear that much as growth in ones’ life has influencers but it is up to each and every one of us to desire and plan to grow in each and every area of our lives. If we refuse situations and encounters we come across in life to help us grow, growth can hardly materialize. As much as growth comes at a price, such a price in the end is worth it! Important aspects of a book The book covers all important areas of human growth, whether you are a believer or not! Thank you for giving us relevant examples drawn from personal experiences which bring the story to life. The first four chapters of the book in my view ushers the fifth chapter –Intentional Growth which finally exposes the topic to the fullest. The following two chapters six and seven, though to me seem to be one chapter with different angles of the theme explored. The good thing though is that both chapters complement each other rather than conflicting each other resulting in some progression on the topic explored. Conclusion This is one book which is good for anyone who desires to grow in any area of their life, from personal life, spiritual life, relationship and business, just to mention the few. It is equipping, impacting and forces a reader to re-look in their life if there is any growth. A must read for every reader of any age indeed! Above all I think the author did justice to the topic chosen-Intentional Growth! Rating Out of ten, I would rate the book around the score of 7.5.

This is honestly the first book I read till the end. It has changed my mindset, how I view life. I've learned so much and mostly on how to manage my finances and growing spiritually. I thought Nthabiseng’s life was as perfect as I see it but reading about her life challenges made me realize that I must work for what I want. I also learned that challenges are always there in life not meant to break me but to make me a stronger person. I really enjoyed reading the Intentional Growth 👏🏽..

What you do makes a difference, and you must decide what kind of difference you want to make. Intentional Growth is a Chronicle / Memoir written in 2020. I found this book to be very well thought out and well written, in the stirring highly anticipated of her chronicle Nthabiseng tells the story of her improbable odyssey from young girl to mature adult. I love that I could see into her mindset and read exactly what she was feeling, she thought out situations her thought flowed well and moved the book very quickly. I hate the word “inspirational” because it has become overdone and cheesy, but I have to say it, Nthabiseng is an inspiration, and I know we present what we want the world to see, but I truly think its genuine. While I recommend this book to other readers, I would recommend it to older teenagers, and young adults it will resonate better with them. Older readers would take the most from it since they can not only relate but they may also pick-up and appreciate Nthabiseng’s sometimes subtle humour. Well let me just say it I don’t think there’s anyone who wouldn’t benefit from reading this book. The author’s narrative voice is wonderful, serious at times but also very witty which makes for an engaging read.

I am in awe and amazed at what God has done and still is doing in your life Ma. This book alone has taught me to do all that my hands find to do, with INTENTION, purpose, and perseverence. To work smart and trust in the Lord wholeheartedly. It is a guide book for life and I am entirely grateful to have the priveledge of reading it, but also of witnessing it in person. Highly recommended for those that are in their youth as I am, and beneficial too for all ages. God is full of incomprehensible wisdom and this book, in my opinion, is a slice of that cake..delivered through the Author. Thank you for sharing it with us Ma.

The first time I read this book, I could hardly put it down. I couldn't wait to read the next chapter. I couldn't anticipate what's next, that's what makes it very interesting as it keeps you on your toes, wanting more. The book helped me in many ways, now I know that I don't just want to exist but to leave a mark, every project I embark on I make sure that I leave a footprint, it must be known that I also was there. I remember when I was writing the reflective essay for my exam. I didn't know where to begin and how to begin. I reflected on the intentional growth book and every piece came together, everything just flew. I can say I personally relate with ausi Nthabi in many difficulties she went through: from the bullying, the financial difficulties, babies in ICU, loosing the loved ones, having to depend entirely in God, not knowing where help would come from and many more. I found it comforting in some way realizing that I also survived. I recommend this book to every one who don't just wanna live but make a mark. It's a manual to physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and financial growth. Now I have learned that growth is intentional. We most of the time stuck in somethings because we lack the intention to grow. We thank God for raising such a talented and inspiring author and leader. I rate the intentional growth book 5 stars and more ******
